Ok,my b'day was yestday so ideally the post should have cm y'day.not a big deal,I ws busy!!

On Duty,MARATHON.

Early start to a weird day.
Attempted waking up at 4,then at 4.15, then someone called up and finally dragged me out of the bed!(Sumant told me it was Bhagwant with his new alarm device!)Had a quick head n face bath,got ready,n was out in the chilling dawn(it was before dawn actually).


Managed to get the college bus,thanks to Sumant.It was a nice ride from the girls hostel with all the beautiful resident creatures.Reached Nehru stadium,got the posting,an I-card and (guess what?),food!


To reach the posting,which was at German bakery in Koregaon Park,we were crammed-up in a PMT bus with dozens other physiotherapists and EMS people.It was a relief to find known faces amongst the crowd,that too in pre-dawn darkness!


At the posting,it was surprising to find so many people,which we later realised were from the army sports institute.After having our breakfasts,we awaited the runners...
As we were discussing about there running speed at the start of the race,some one annonced their arrival.We were all on our toes to get a glimpse of the elite runners,and there they were,a group of thin but sturdy looking black men,sprinting past us.And then after a couple of minutes we saw an Indian runner which made us rejoice with cheers!


Again there was a lull and as we doubted our prospects of seeing an injury,we saw a motorbike coming towards us with an a black runner.We hurdled towards him,arranged for a chair(sorry no beds provided by the organisers).He had,what he thought,was an ankle injury.It was a task taking the brief history as both the parties were trying there best attempts at sign language.We searched for an ice pack,but the organising committee forgot to put it in our medi-kit(which according to them,it was our responsibility...quite rightly so)
We gave the first aid and let him rest.


Many more runners followed in the next hour,most of them being from the army.I was appalled at the bullying behavior of the army representative or something!He literally pushed and hit a player who came there running for 10km!But you can't expect anything better from them,can you?


What followed later was a mad frenzy.Hundreds of people gathering near the 10km endpoint.Every one had a gala party having the awesome breakfast provided by the organisers.Everyone loitered the plastic bags,egg shells and what not!In a few minutes,the wide beautiful road became a dumping ground!


It was still a very nice experience apart from the filth and the disorganised approach.I met a dude who completed the 10km run in 59 min.The catch was,he was operated for his brain tumour(meningioma) some time back!There were small children,elderly citizens,women and girls.It was astonishingly heart warming to see their enthusiasm!


The rest of the day wasn't quite good.Had a small fight with Rutu.After some time got the news that her cousin grandmom succumbed to breast cancer.Felt really bad.Waiting for her to call...


Tomorrow's gonna be a fresh day.New posting,in Inlaks Hospital,the dance practice,and yes am getting extremely close to buying my new cam!!yipppeee!!

AM EUPHORIC!

Exams are finally over!

Though started just a week ago,they seem to have stretched across centuries!

Thats the precise reason for my EUPHORIA!!!

But what an irony,during those tensed periods,you feel like doing everything under the sky.

But post exams,the brain seems to have gone into standby mode!You can blame it to the post exam celebrations.

And yes,i celebrated...    

...watched 'PAA'...great performances,witty comedy,fall-in-love-with characters,Awesome movie!!! 

...had a grand breakfast...maggi,samosa chaat,ice-cream...full enjoyment with friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought would have a sound deep sleep,but have to get up earlier than ever!4 o'clock!  Its the pune marathon,and we've enrolled our names in the medical team!!still i hope its gonna be worth a disturbed sleep...fresh new experience!!looking forward to it!!!

Many new challenging stuffs coming up!will post as soon as possible!!!

Breaking a promise

Had posted yesterday that won't be writing for a week coz of the exams!But here I am,breaking a promise,yet again!
Ok, I tried my best,but just can't be serious enough for the exams!!Today's was good,tommorrow's might be bad!!
who cares??
Lately,I've realised  that I love reading academic stuff too.I love reading anything that interests me.Ofcourse I've been like this forever,but lately I've started skipping the uninteresting stuff.Bad for my annual report card,but the saving grace is that there are only a few things which am not enjoying!
I cant express how happy I feel when I read the basics,the evaluation and the management of disorders!
I've heard many of my colleagues sulking about there choice of field.I am thankful to god that I feel quite the opposite!
Cheers for physiotherapy!!!

I feel strongly about what's going on

it makes me shiver and shudder,each time i close my eyes

coz never ever was closing them followed by an urge,a fear to open them,immediately!

And I'am angry

coz I hate this!

I hate the hatred in the heart

 of the ones with a hollow chest.

I strongly feel about it

Its not about you and me

its about us that I care,I cry,am sad.

Please No more blood!

ENOUGH!!

We'll make sure its the end for 'you'!

we CAN'T bear 'you' anymore!!

Its our place,OUR world!

no place for 'you' here!

We hate 'you' from the core of our heart!

and WE promise,that this hatred against the heartless,will grow!

with each beat joining the other,to drown your existence

...and then,there'll be no hatred

   only LOVE...

No,its not a poem,though its in the poetry category.These are a few words through which I had tried to express,rather vent out my angst,my fear,my helplessness during the unfortunate event which occurred last year.

BLACK OR WHITE?

Just yesterday I attended a CME on evidence based medicine(research stuff).The chief speaker over there was some Dr.Bhandari,an NRI based in Canada.He was a bit late,but already got introduced as the youngest chairperson of a big research institute,and probably the first Indian.He arrived after an hour or so,and when I saw him,he hardly looked Indian with his fair face and tall stature(born in Chandigarh to Indian Punjabi parents,in case you might think of some mixed genes!)!!Quite possible as Punjabis are known for their towering builts and fair skin.But then some other thoughts started racing through my mind.Would they still make him the chairperson if he had equal knowledge but was dark and stout(the asian look)?You'll say,may be they would!But then in my short life,I've hardly come across this combination of a dark,stout chairperson of a BIG institute or firm abroad(please let me know  if you've found one,please!)
Well,every one knows that there's a fight against racism everywhere,but the point is why is the fight needed?The answer is,as said by one of my dear teachers,though in some other context,that "YOU CAN WAKE A PERSON WHO'S ASLEEP,BOT NOT ONE WHO'S ACTING TO BE ASLEEP"
So many times I've come across people who's VISA appeals have been rejected,and also the one's whose appeals have been accepted in a blink of eye(relatively speaking!).And I could'nt help noticing the colour difference!
   Now you might think that i am just being paranoid.May be I am.But how do you know that racism is being eradicated and fought against,when everyday we see incidences which stink of racism!
I am sure its on the decline,but the point i want to make is,somewhere,in someone's mind,its still there,like a pot filled to the brim with hot boiling water...

2nd POST

Am so hungry right now!! anyws,wud try and write some crap atleast!
there's a dilemma which i face.how to live???
strange questn!lets search for the possible answers.
am a middle class guy,the eldest of the three siblings,studying medicine(physiotherapy),with varied interests ranging from photography,sketching,music,sports,making friends!when i peep into the future(ok imagine!),i see myself as a succesful professional,an innovator,i see my photographs on yhe nat geo magazine,i read my columns in a newspaper,i find myself in a roller coster ride enjoying the cool breeze,i see a distant hut in the woods and see myself gardening...!!!
huh confusing,unreal,dreamy...possible???

1st Post.

 Dont know what to write?I have bragged about lots of thoughts boiling in my mind in the tagline of my blog.But now,the thoughts seem to have evaporated!! Now lets analyse this grim situation.

...I logged on to the blog,was very excited with the idea of sharing thoughts!But first lets decorate the blog a bit...so started adding new side bars,toyed with different colours for the background,the font... ah!now it seems to be ready for its first post!lets see what i can write.mmm... politics?nah!sports?indian cricket?as if am the only 1 thinkin about it!Ok lets write on 26/11.Its been 1 year since the tragedy! Fffffine,lets start with the startin events...no that would be boring,every 1 knows wat hapnd,right?Lets write about the aftermath!Ok,now i hardly tracked what the gov. did to ensure future safety...Later! so finally nothin to write!

Hmmm...quite a lot for today!!!thanx for bearing with the boredom!hopefully,the next posts will be a bit more interestin to waste time on!
