These are some of the photos which I took from my first cam,a Canon A470. The tragedy is that I lost my cam on the very day when I was awarded the best photography award in the college. 

These photos will always remain very close to me...

Today...

Today I did something,
Many things!

Felt love,
felt hatred.

Experienced power and
Helplessness.

Laughed with joy and
Cried in sorrow.

Today I did something different.
Things which I never did before.

Walked for miles
In the 3 o'clock sun.
Listening to bird sngs,
in voices never heard before.

I felt a new freshness
After getting dead tired.
Meeting new beings,
weaving new thoughts.

But,my dear...
This lovely, different Today
is worser than the routine,
If I don't share it with you...

I LOVE MUSIC

Yes I do!
My new project is to learn the Flute,of course,all by myself.And believe me or not,I've also managed to blow out a few tunes!Its such a great feeling when something meaningful comes out of your efforts!(no pun intended!)
Last year I had tried my hand at the mouth organ.At first I used to feel stupid blurting out nonsensical tunes which were irritating for the people around me as well as my own ears.But gradually I managed to become sort of a 'pro'-amatuer.I learned to play it and now can manage basic tunes with ease. But the sad part,I lost the mouth organ (I had borrowed it from my uncle) while coming back from Goa.
Now, its the flute,borrowed from a friend. Lovely!
Hoping to pro-amatuer it soon.
Will try to be less lazy and post soon!!!

WINDOW NOON

For hours together, I sat by the window,

straining my eyes, in a desperate search.

I scanned through the branches, 

I searched through their green

To find the one who beckoned me.

'Ah! there you are my little friend'...

Pausing for a second to hear me call,

she turned around and looked at me.

And then hopping from a branch to another,

she faded away,putting my search in vain.

I sat back and closed my eyes,

-what a waste it was to trust her call...

And then as I drifted away in dreams,

She perched at my window,and called me again..

Dalai Lama’s 18 rules for living

At the start of the new millennium the Dalai Lama apparently issued eighteen rules for living. Since word travels slowly in the digital age these have only just reached me. Here they are.

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
3. Follow the three Rs:
   1. Respect for self
   2. Respect for others
   3. Responsibility for all your actions.
4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
6. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
7. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
8. Spend some time alone every day.
9. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.
10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
11. Live a good, honourable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.
12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.
14. Share your knowledge. It’s a way to achieve immortality.
15. Be gentle with the earth.
16. Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.
17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

who made me happy today?

Posting for yesterday.Can't remember day before's and day to day before's events(don't wanna waste time yaar!)
We went to Anupama's place.Her dad had invited us to perform our 'Hellen Keller' at 'Kalapini',the music and dance academy which her grandpa started don't know how many years back.
 Her ancient looking house was located in a very humble locality.It had a garden,a terrace many rooms,and precisely 33 doors!(Ok ,I'm not sure abt this).But it was beautiful and somewhat like my dream home(the serenity,the dark lit rooms,the bright lit garden).
We ate a lot and had a lot of fun.But the most important part was the performance!We were short of three members!And that matters a lot when the total number is 10! But we still managed to perform and it went really well!
Later,Anupama messaged me,how she learnt today that
'IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE;WHAT MATTERS IS WHAT YOU DO WITH WHAT YOU HAVE!!
It made me feel good about us,about myself....
It made me happy...

who made me happy today?

If you ask someone 'who made u sad or unhappy',u'll probably end up with a list before u even end the question! But its so difficult to say who made you happy! Irony,which is meant to be.

today was a good day.What really made me happy was my small Radio.It broke the news of the passing of the woman's reservation bill.Its definitely a huge step!!! Kudos to our modern leaders!!

Day before yesterday,no one made me happy, and yesterday there was some technical problem while blogging!So here I am,with to names,one for yesterday and 1 for today.
Yesterday: Rutu. She helped me with my case calculations and took the tension out of my mind!!

Today: Dr. James sir!!!! He took my case so sweetly(read ,without much fadofying)

Too mean but thats how it is(Its MY blog)

The first ever award goes to my frnd SURESH!!
We did a jugalbandi some famous bollywood tunes and our original lyrics(read 'utter nonsense') after a long long time!!

this is wat i kept sayin to my bro,but i dnt seem to practice wat i preach.Else i wud hv got so many posts which are lined up in my head!!!!
...my mumbai visit,siya's b'day,another visit and d bad travellin n so many more!!!
hopefully,i shall improve on this aspect!
 i'm startin a new 'subject' which'll require a daily post! lets start wid...'The person who made me happy today'...

Balewadi Sports Complex:An Inside View

Yesterday,instead of following the routine,we got an opportunity to visit the 'Shivchhatrapati sports complex' at Balewadi,Pune(the one which was renovated to meet international standards during the Commonwealth Youth Games 2008).The motive was to see the sports science center which is managed by our institute.It was a treat to see the high-tech instruments,with demonstrations!Though at times I did feel that we still don't have the skills and knowledge about such new equipments,and we need to uplift the scope of our learning horizons,its good that we have the opportunities,which many don't! It'll be great if I get to learn and use them,and there are good chances that I will(talk of high hopes!)

         We also got a tour of all the different sports auditoriums,the best being the Shooting range(It was VAST!). I've uploaded a few photos.Have a look and get jealous!!(kiddin,ofcourse!)

Long long delay!!

      Posting after a month,or may b more!Was too busy wid everything.ended 2009 on a very happy note.
2010 started wid a bang which was followed by a very very draining schedule!We had the intra hostel competetions,the IAP practice,i fell ill(still recovering).Tough time but managed to sail through.
      Then,we had the awesome art exhibition 'oyster'.Displayed a few of my recent photographs.Was fun.

    

The magazine 'Sankalp' is still in process,hope it turns out to be the way we imagined!
      And now,the BIG trip.IAP Conference Mangalore,then off to Goa.Very much excited!!!!!!!
